OSCAL 2022 (Open Source Conference Albania)

Linux Native Packaging in Carbonio Community Edition, our open source e-mail and collaboration platform
2022-06-18, 14:00–14:55, Workshop 1

Browsing various sites and searching for the necessary software can expose users to non-authoritative sources, resulting in numerous security risks. Carbonio Community Edition puts the user in control, allowing them to rely on granular and secure software distribution sourced from trusted repositories and structured in signed and highly optimized packages.
Using the native package manager simplifies the process and gives you complete control over the entire system, libraries, and applications you install. In this workshop our package maintainer will provide an overview of the abovementioned approach and its benefits. They will also explain in-depth how the software packaging process is administered through different distros, restoring the fun for both developers and end-users!
